People in the district situbondo major language is
Java and Madura, because people come from diverse ethnic Situbondo, the
majority came from the Jawa and Madura.
This district is located in the north coast of the
island of Java, in the area of horse hooves and surrounded by sugar cane,
tobacco, baluran protected forests and fisheries business location. With its
strategic location, in the middle of the land transportation of Java-Bali,
economic activity appear to be active. Situbondo have Panarukan harbor known as
the east end of Jalan Raya Pos-Panarukan Anyer on Java island which was built
by Daendels the Dutch colonial era.
East Java community know many of Situbondo Pasir Putih,
a recreation area beaches are located approximately 23 km to the west of
Situbondo. And the city is also known as a town of Situbondo SANTRI, namely
"Courteous, Safe, Comfortable, Orderly, Neat, and the Beautiful"
